Park Attendants
Sea to Sky Parks is seeking Seasonal Park Attendants for these parks. Positions are F/T or P/T, commencing in March, April, May or June and running until September. Shifts are variable including evenings and weekends. Duties include park facilities maintenance, landscaping, park fee collection, park information and park regulation compliance. Candidates should be mature, responsible and self-motivated, have a positive attitude and enjoy working outdoors with the public. A valid BC driver’s licence is also required. Cultus Lake – Gatehouse Attendants
Cultus Lake is seeking F/T & P/T Seasonal Gatehouse attendants to join their team. Positions will commence late April, May or June and run until September. Shifts are variable and will include some evenings and weekends. Position is based in the Park Gatehouse and is responsible for welcoming guests to the park, providing information on reserved campsites, dealing with enquiries and collecting fees. Sasquatch is currently seeking a F/T Seasonal Maintenance person to join their team. Position will commence in March/April and run until approximately September. Duties will include maintaining the park and facilities, landscaping duties and some minor repair. Candidates should be mature, responsible and self-motivated, have a positive attitude and enjoy working outdoors with the public. A valid BC driver’s licence is also required. Porteau Cove Provincial Park
Park Manager
We are currently seeking a Manager in Training for Porteau Cove Provincial Park.
During the spring & summer operating season duties will involve maintenance and cleaning of park facilities, supervision of the day to day park operations including providing information and assistance to park users, hiring, training and supervision of park employees, public safety and park security as well as park fee collection and reporting.
During the winter months this position becomes more maintenance focused and will require someone who is comfortable working alone in an outdoor environment.
This is a year round full time position. Candidates must have a hands on approach to the running of the park, with strong supervisory skills and the ability to recruit and train a team of seasonal staff. Candidates must also be well organized and have experience working in an outdoor environment. Basic computer skills and the ability to manage a budget and oversee cash handling activities will also be required. Candidates with previous experience in a management or supervisory capacity within a similar type of industry would be preferred. A valid B.C driver’s license is also required.
We offer a flexible work schedule, which will include weekends and some evenings during peak periods. The salary is $33,000 – $39,000 per annum, based on experience.
