Giving

Sea to Sky Park Services recycling program combines our conservation values with our belief in giving back to the communities in which we operate. For the past eight years our Fraser Valley Parks have donated a portion of the proceeds collected from in park recycling to local charities. This amounts to over $40,000 and has supported groups such as Chilliwack General Hospital Children’s Ward,  Critter Care, Chilliwack Lake Camp, O.W.L Rehabilitation Centre,  Chilliwack Children’s Foundation, Ann Davis Transition Society, and The Salvation Army Food Bank. We appreciate all those who have recycled in the parks and hope to continue giving back to our local community.

Parks Day Celebrations

Canada’s Parks Day is an annual event in mid-July where thousands of people participate in fun, educational, family-oriented events in parks and Historic Sites across the country. Many activities highlight the important role that parks play in maintaining healthy and resilient ecosystems, protecting critical habitat for species-at-risk and contributing to human health and well-being.

Sea to Sky Park Services feels it is important to recognize and celebrate the wonderful setting in which we operate.  For the past four summers, we have hosted Parks Day celebrations, where we invite visitors and vendors to come and enjoy demonstrations, free cake, prize giveaways, and park themed games and activities. Visitors can meet representatives from BC safety Authority, Wild Safe BC, Freshwater Fisheries and many other local outdoor retailers and service providers.
